Brits – Beestekraal - Atlanta
This branch was opened over a distance of 57 km to Beestekraal in 1928 for agricultural development. It was extended a further 14 km to Atlanta in the mid 1970s to serve a new dolomitic limestone quarrying operation designed to provide raw material mainly for the cement industry.

The line was later electrified as part of the development and electrification programme for the Thabazimbi line.

Clinker lime is currently transported to a large cement factory at Hercules in the Pretoria area.
