As family of Durban man Allan Stagg - missing for five days - prayed for his safe return, his body was found in the Yellowwood Nature Reserve on Saturday.
This was after family and friends had spent the day wading through dense bushes in search of him, swearing not to give up until he was found.
Stagg was last seen on Tuesday filling up with petrol at a service station near his Yellowwood Park home. Three kilometres away his white Ford Laser was found abandoned.
'Nothing is done that is not seen by God'Stagg's wife Ilona raised the alarm when she arrived home on Tuesday afternoon and he was not there.

"He had been working the late shift and usually when I get back home, he is sleeping. I thought he had gone to the hardware store. But when he didn't return later, I got worried.
"I sent an SMS but he didn't respond. I tried calling him but his phone was switched off. I knew then something was wrong," she said.
Having checked with hospitals and morgues and not finding him there, the search was taken to the surrounding conservation park where his car had been found.
Chris van den Berg of the Yellowwood and Woodhaven sector policing forum led the day-long search on Saturday, calling it off at 4.30pm.
But half an hour later, he reported that Stagg's body had been found, just after the family had left to rest.
"Gavin Hegter, who worked for the Parks Department discovered the body covered in grass with multiple wounds to the head."
Van den Berg said the body appeared to have been dragged about 20m before being dumped.
"Nothing is done that is not seen by God. My faith in God has given me strength and will keep me strong in the tough time ahead," said a devastated Ilona Stagg.
Stagg is survived by his wife Ilona and two daughters Sam and Keri.
