Name: Slurry
At one stage there were 1000 families established in Ottoshoop. There were 4 hotels, a pharmacy and a number of shops. One of these hotels viz. Central Hotel, hosted Dr Leander Starr Jameson of the Jameson Raidfame. He was said to have met his secret contacts under a olive tree approximately 150 metres from this hotel. There is uncertainty on the route of the Jameson Raid but it is said that it took place between Slurry, Ottoshoop and the Molopo River.
